I have search for this via the Search function and have tried some of the tips I have recieved, however, when I try to connect to any program besides IE it will simply not connect, and it will timeout.

I was wandering if any of you guys had any advice, and tools I could use to beat the system. As far as I know they have Novell installed, with Windows 98 as the OS.

Any ideas? (Don't break the board guidelines, I simply want tips and names of software that I can use to bypass the firewal, Thanks)

im guessing it is not the firewall stoping you connecting. you probably have a proxy you have to connect through and you have not setup yours apps to do so.

have a look in tools / internet options / connections (tab)

it should be in there under lan if i remember.

    Can't stop laughing...

Internet Options is probably disabled... however a quick HTML Help "exploit" will give it to you...

Their probably restricting outgoing access to all but certain ports. Any half-brained system admin can do it, especially with all the third party elementary apps that can do just that, no more mcse, cisco, or bubble gum cert needed to lockdown a network.

Novell on top of windows is even more difficult to bypass because you have to get past all thoose network trees and they branch out pretty far.

unless you can manage to alter some group policy settings your pretty much out of luck pal

Im sure your local library has a few public boxes for internet access.
