Ok guys, I think I might be right on this, but I still need more reference.
A computer at work sometimes freezes (mostly while playing a game). The colors slighty get messed up, and the computer stops responding. The image kinda overlaps over itself.
I think it either might be an overheating cpu or the vid card.
Any ideas? Thanks

woowoo
probably either i video card driver problem or it is overheating...most likely the video card and not the cpu.
is it overclocked at all? if it is then set to default, if you can open it up then feel the video card heatsync to see if it is getting really hot and if it has a fan make sure that it is spinning.

Can you give some kind of facts to support this? Like maybe not just say "it's the vid card" or "it's the psu"

Hammer Smashed Face
i had a ati radeon 9500 pro that was bad, and it would do what your referring to. it would play a little then just lock the puter up, and i would have to do a hard reboot. it did it anywhere between 5 and 30 minutes into a game, and the color did something like what you mentioned. hope that helps some
