downloaded cd1 and cd2 everything fine until trying to play .All extracted and still fine installed and then it asks me to insert cd how do i get around this please (newbee)

yep u need 2 use daemon tools to create a virtual drive on your computer and then run the game from there. It does work ive tried it mysefl with that exact game

There is another possibility yuo need to replace two files in the game. The generals.exe and generals or game.dat I don't remember. For those two files yuo can visit i.e. gamecopywolrd After that it runs completely without cd even a fake one.
