    Did you guys read this carefully?
    I said i tried installing it from the ISO also.
    That same ISO was the one i burned and used to install the copy of xp i'm useing now. It's install process went flawlessly.

    Looks like you been having a few problems with vmware lately. It works fine for me.

    microsoft bought em out, and you know how they go easy on a few errors now and then

    You need to check the option "Legacy emulation" in the cdrom options...

    I had the same problem with Red Hat 9...
