Thread: No Sound In Videolan

  1. #1
i wasn't real sure of where to put this, move it if necessary.

so i usually play all my video files with vlc but lately whenever i play something it does one of two things: it either wont play the file and says there was an illegal operation and it must close or it plays the video but without sound. has anyone else had this problem? does anyone know how i can fix it? i've tried reinstalling it and i've even tried installing the latest codec pack but it still doesn't work.

You dont need to worry about codec packs with VideoLAN as it has all of them...
Try deleting your preferences file or check HERE for a solution
