Rebuild Mp3? Repair Time?

Hey,

I have a ton of mp3s but they all report the wrong time.

I really need them to report the correct time.

Is there a way to repiar the mp3 time or just build it from strach?

Firstly, kick yourself for even thinking about doing this.

Try downloading the mp3 again. I do not want to download an mp3 from someone who has altered it. What are you using to listen to them?

I'm using winamp. Have tried wmp9.0 and media player classic. All the same thing.

I've already redownload it. Its a full cd ok. Just ripped all together. I trust the source I got it from.

And when its together all the times are right and everything.

Maybe just need a better splitter. Have tried about 15 now all do the same thing. Maybe it is the mp3 I dont know but redownloading does nothing.

Without going into too much detail, some ID3 taggers don't display the proper times when tagging VBR files. CDTag is an example of a program people still use, though it doesn't work properly with VBR. If you look hard enough, I'm sure you can find a better source for the files you are looking for. :music1:

Well I've looked everywhere. I need 320kbps which I cant find anywhere.

BTW its the Disturbed The Sickness album.

Well just thought this might help some people.

I was finally able to fix it using foobar2000.

Rebuild the header and it works great now.

No other program I tried could fix it. And yes I have tried rebuilding header with over 50 programs but only foobar2000 was able to fix it.

So now its my fav.

Try re-encoding the files using any file encoding program to a lower bitrate. Or I guess you can use the same bitrate and keep similar quality. Any case the file encoding should fix the files.
