    I just re-installed windows xp professional after a clean format and theres no desktop icons except for the recycle bin. why is this? anyone know? i think im gonna have to download a new copy of xp!!!

    well if you no what you are doing then it wont happen. when i upgraded to xp it was fine then i went back to 98. was fine for me.

    Yea, when I first turned xp on... I was like.. Omg XP is ment for kindergarden!?!?!? then i saw desktop settings after rushing into them. lol
