Use tmpgenc with the templates from kvcd.net installed. Its much easier.
agree with much - its a hassle to have to think about filesize and audio size etc

I have version 0.9.990
I have same settings as you except...

Under Video settings I have max. Bitrate as 1150 and min Bitrate as 300
these settings were standard when i first opened ACP i have'nt changed any??

maybe i'll copy your settings and see?
But I thought max. bitrate had to be that of an VCD which is 1150 is it not?

And of course my output size is 800mb???

it doesnt really matter what you set the max/min bitrates to that should be ok for what you are doing - i encode to much bigger without prediction usu, so i have it set higher - the program will sort this out itself when it goes through the prediction process.

My advice:

Uninstall acp, goto kvcd.net and get the newer version, and install.

Get a program called "video fixer" and check the file out for any bad frames etc.

try again. if it works

if not, put it aside and try another file. If this then works then its stg wrong with the source.

Also: try using tmpeg on the file using the standard vcd template, but right click "unlock" on the "bitrate" tab in the penultimate wizard screen and change it such that the film will fit 1 disk

Well, i'm not an expert on kvcd/kdvd. I've only converted 4 movies in these formats, all using tmpgenc.

I tried using acp, but it didnt work for me, so didnt bother persevering with it. I might give acp another go when i have time. But when i tried it last time it gave me errors and the version i have is limited to one format.

I'll download the newer version from kvcd.net and try it.
