Thread: Good Raid Pci Controller Card?

    is that a good raid controller card. im getting two 40gb western digital hard drives soon (dont even think about saying get bigger!!&#33. and i want to run them in a raid zero array. and im wondering if this will be a good controller card for them. it doesnt have any revwies on it so im asking here. and also. if it isnt a good one, please recomend a good one to use.

    You would have saved so much money getting the deluxe a7n8x...like 30 more bux and comes with raid and sata lol

    first of all.. dont mention stuff in the past that you dont know about. i dint buy the motherboard, and i didnt have any intentions of using a raid setup. i got the motherboard for christmas, along with the processor, & memory. so dont comment on that. and im asking about the card. so no need for you to post unless your being helpful! will somebody please just tell me if its a good raid card?

    @bigdawgfoxx, he does have a point. Your post doesn't help him at all.

    I'm not sure about that card as I have never used that particular one (not saying it's not good).

    anywheres where i can get the fasttrax modles cheaper? the only ata/ raide controller card they have is $84. any cheaper ones that are good?

    thanks for the help tho. but a little to expensive for me.

    Do you have two hard drives ready to go? Are they the same exact harddrives?

    no, but im getting to 40gb western digital 7200rpm 8mb cache hard drives soon. and i want to run them in a raid zero array.

    Those drives work great in a 0 array. I have 2 120 GB drives in the same config. currently.

    I use the tx2 and it works great.
