Wmv ?

I have just downloaded a movie in .wmv format and it wont open unless I buy a licence ?
Does anyone know of a program that will open it without a licence or convert it to a different format ?
Whos the silly person who put this on the network ?. do they think we will go to their site and give them money to veiw a movie ? why do they think we have P2P ? for fun ?
