Hi guys i'm just looking for peoples opions on what is the best firewall to have and weather or not its worth having?

I like NPF. It's easy to configure, not like others. And of course you gotta have one.

you can't really go wrong with any of the following
1.Norton Personal Firewall
2.zone Alarm
3.Tiny Personal Firewall
I suggest you try them all(one at a time)
and decide wich one you like best.
Yes you have to have a firewall or you will be sorry.

The firewall built into WinXP is fantastic. People refuse to give Microsoft any credit when they do good. When properly configured, its simple, takes about 15 seconds to setup, and works great.--

It is a good firewall, but you have no control over the traffic going in and out of your computer. So you cant control if a melicous program can or can not access the internet. I'm happy with nortons firewall and have been happy with zone alarm, byut norton seems to use less resources
