Without the exact make and model how could we possibly help you?

Go to the makers web site and look up the exact model in question and see if there is an update available. There will be instuctions there on the correct procedure.

the process is similar to firmware-flashing on any other computer hardware.

some models of video card can be flashed in order to turn them into slightly better models. in rare cases, a bios flash may fix a bug that was present in an earlier version of the video card bios. in most cases, flashing a video card's bios will have essentially no effect on performance and you'd be taking a risk for absolutely no reason.

on some forums, people will claim that they gained, like, an extra 5mhz overclock, and offer that as proof that bios-flashing helped them. but that's just ridiculous, to dance around & celebrate over such trifling gains. you could prolly gain 5mhz by opening a cup of cold yogurt near your computer.

so... yeah... like VB1234 said, it'd be good if you mention which video card model you own, so people can help you figure out whether you have anything to gain by flashing the bios.
