Missed Being Caught In A Bank Robbery

I work for Verizon telephone company in Washington D.C.
Around 1 pm my dispatcher called and said I had to extend a T1 for Chevy Chase Bank at 925 15th St.

When I get there police have the street blocked off and there's a police line in front of Chevy Chase Bank.

A detective told me, of course, I couldn't go in and that a security guard for Dunbar (the armored truck was still out front) was taking money into the front door, when a guy with a shotgun hidden in a flower box, comes behind him.

The security guard turned and shot the guy 3 times.


WHAT A DUMBASS ROBBER

1. If you are going to commit robbery, why do it on one of the warmest days of the winter? People were out and about today.

2. How do you come from behind a guard with a shotgun and YOU get shot 3 times. This is not good a jail story.

The thing is, if I didn't make 2 personal calls before going to that job, well........who knows?

Personally, I consider World News and Events the more inteligent version of The Lounge. Ok, so some things may not be "newsworthy", but the topics here are generally better than "Wot's YoUr Fav Cola?"

btw, this dumbass robber committed the crime in the MIDDLE of downtown DC, 2 blocks away from the White House.

Didn't he know that most crime is planned and hatched from within the White House?
