In the 1940's Feasants were shot down, then left to hang in the cold for a month. Then after that it will be full of maggots and flys and stuff. With these still in some poor buggar would have to pluck it then it is cooked with all the maggots still in and then eatan. :x
I would have eaten the pheasants BEFORE they got maggoty
and exactly how cold was it? flies get dopey after a certain temperature... I never see flies here in winter.
