Well..it started as the Iraq War forum. As for an actual date? Hell if I know.

I joined on March 16th of last year and believe that I am a charter member of the old World News gang.
I think this section was officially named and opened sometime in June.

Right, but there was a point where we (might even have been me, I don't know) started a thread to chat about making it permanent, come up with a name, etc.

I though you were in on that, MN.

Seems like there should be more replies to this by now; Hobbes and Clocker, Rat Faced, maybe Jetje and a few others might remember something.

As to the topic, I think you're right, Clocker-had to be June, I think, 'cuz the war was pretty much decided, and we had begun to branch out a bit, subject-wise.

I can't believe we don't have the means to nail this down.

I remember being on the thread to keep it. I also remember it should've been called The Drawing Room. Ah well.

Your "Congratulations To Us, The Opinionated" thread first appeared May 19th, 2003.

And clocker was still posting in pictures alone.

Hobbes posted about keeping the section April 19th, 2003, rather than "throwing us back into the kiddie pool [to talk about] boobies."

So maybe its birthday is coming up soon.
