Photoshop 8

hi ppl, I was wondering if my computer can handle the new photoshop. Here are my system specs:

-128 mb ram

-intel pentium 3

-20 gig hd

I am not really gonna go extreme in photoshop cs, but my comp doesnt meet the system requirements for ram and some other things. my processor makes it tho. Should i bother dling it?

keep the memory usage down to a minimum and you should be fine.

I&#39;d say that the problem is mainly the seat-keyboard interface.

Never had a problem with Me on any system I&#39;ve had it on.

With those system specs you&#39;d be better off getting Photoshop 6.

There isn&#39;t a huge difference (feature wise) between 6 , 7 and 8 anyway, so you won&#39;t be missing out on much.

You&#39;re better off going with GIMP, it&#39;s a powerful Photoshop replacement that has virtually no system requirements.

I&#39;ve found Gimp for windows to be rather unstable.
Every time I tried to use plugins... *CRASH&#33;&#33;*

Gimp is great in a Linux environment, but Photoshop is the business for advanced image editing on Windows platforms, IMHO.
