    iv just orded BT broad band the other day an iv got to wait till next friday till i get it install. but i logged in on a dial up thing with my user name and password am i paying per min or is it free? and im paying the money per month for the broadband? :helpsmile:

    you are probably paying per minute

    check the number being dialed then you can find out what you are being charged

    you are getting charged per minute as btbroadband does not use a dial up number.

    wait until friday then connect

    if you are dialing any number then your being charged.

    BTBROADBAND DOES NOT USE A DIAL UP NUMBER

    that is only a local rate number so should be cheap at least.

    that number is a local call rate, which is usually between 1-3p per minute

    stupid me
    iv been on it about 12-20 hours
    so is it £1.80 a min max?

    rates vary its more expensive on peak so it will be more then that.

    best guess is 5- 10p a min on peak 9 - 6 and 1 - 3p off peak.

    you work it out.
