This is probaly a stupid question but is there a way to speed the VCDs up when playing them on a DVD player. so that the movements dont look like they were off a computer

That's VCD quality for you. VCD is average at best. Try downloading the SVCD rip next time. Ripped from a DVD would be even smoother.--
