I want a good photo quality printer, got £150 to spend tops.

Went for an Epson R300.
Was going to say Hp, but that one you got has digital camera dock? Thats the way to go. I always look at ink replacement cost's before I buy tho.
Aren't those statements contradictory?Originally posted by peat moss@21 March 2004 - 18:11

IMHO, HP printers are the best, but Epson does come close.

I have two HP printers I just find you get good quaility for the price. Canon has cheaper ink cartriges tho. I mean come on its almost cheaper to buy a new printer than replace some ink packs.
And those refill kits are crap too!
HP deskjet 3320 $89.00 canadian . Black = $ 28.00 & color =$ 36.00 = $ 64.00
you be the judge.

yeah my printer when i bought it was like probably about 200, and the ink is $40 black, $45 color my friend's printer was like 90bucks and its quality is much better but the ink is also about 40bucks so he could just buy a new printer when the ink runs out if he wants too.
mine is an hp deskjet 697c, i think his is a canon something.
What do you want to print?
Black text only?
Color?
Photos?
Did you want a multifuction unit with built-in scanner?
I just bought a pair of epson-compatible chipped cartridges (black & colour) for £8. That's about $19 Canadian, $14 US.
Compatible HP carts (which are actually refills) cost about £36 per pair which is $85 Canadian, $63 US.
That's what I meant by contradictory when you said HP and ink replacement cost.

he said he alrady bought the epson r300, so you can get a good idea of what he wanted by looking at that printer...Originally posted by Virtualbody1234@21 March 2004 - 19:51
