Hi !
I started to make a test layout for my site (here) the size is apporx 1024x768.As you can see theres a white border as such around my layout.Is there a way to remove this?Is it guide rulers or somthing?

Is 1024x768 the resolution on the srceen from which you captured this shot?

yes my screen resoltoion is 1024x768 but i also set my canvas size to 1024x768
( i did nt take a screen shot thats actal site)

youll probably need to set :
body {border:0; padding:0;}
in your style sheet
or set the bg color different

try setting the bg color to blue

In my html code i put this code in:
