Billy is a mate of mine and l started this thread because l saw he was still banned, or is he expected to come in and ask why? As Sheila said it's got nothing to do with you anyway why can't Marc give his side of it he was the one who made the deal. The thread you quoted was written after he he was told in a pm from Marc that he was being banned, the deal was done after that, quite clearly. To say forget it now, when it's not you that is being banned is the sort of thing Billy used to complain about with you. Most posters here feel a promise was made that should be kept, and if you were being fair you would accept that.

Is it your turn now? never said that&#33; You "aussies" should do something about your self esteem. we don&#39;t make you a group, you people seem to do (think) that to yourself think about that. (before any "Aussie feels this is an attack on him/her.. this is a reply to bowrabob&#39;s posting).

btw in a post of you in februari you posted things Billy liked to say, but couldn&#39;t cause he was banned. And as you being his friend why not asked him directly and why not sent 7th a pm instead of a general post.
My replies here are as a mod and as a part of the team that stands for the decission that was made.

I am disappointed in our moderating team. The discussion with 7th on MSN boiled down to a 1 month ban. Do not dishonor this statement.

Jetje uses the title of the thread (My final post) to state that BillyDean declined, which is specious at best, and a lie to be quite frank.

The bottom line is that the mods do not feel that they can control Billy. I understand, as Billy can be a total shit at times, and does need to learn not to get nasty when someone attacks him.

At one point he wished "many more 9/11&#39;s" on me. I will never forget this comment, it will be like a scar on his face forever in my eyes. It was totally inappropriate and is something Billy has been known to do when someone comes at him or disagrees with him.. He refuses to take the high road and pulls out his fangs and bites back harder. He cannot stand the thought of being bested or appearing weak, particularly when he is dealing with "kids".

It is this tendancy that has lead to his repeated problems here at the board, in particular, the manner in which he interacts with the Mods. He can be right on the money with his points, but still angers the Mods with his manner. He will lose and will then feel that he was treated unfairly.

My comments about Billy, have been harsh but honest. Even so, he brings an alternate point of view to the board as well as an intelligent mind. He is actually quite the normal guy on his forum and if he acted that way here, he would be no problem.

I think Billy should be re-instated and you guys "should get over it" and not the other way around.

If he knew it was a temporary ban. There was a lot more going on then as just the posts on the board and the msn chat, there was a lot of pming too. Why should we mods allow him back in and not the other banned members. It was not just one thing. Believe me or not when i say people don&#39;t get banned without a reason and on 1 offense (except kiddy porn and heavy racism posts).

There has been a big debate within the team chat, and the decission was made by voting. Sorry if we dissapoint you, we do whatever we think is the best for the whole board. It has nothing to do with "get over it" as far as the mods concern. Just as an example i will add, me personnal, i was willing to give Billy a blank sheet and start fresh even after he had posted pretty nasty stuff in an attack on me. This option i posted in teamchat, was a result of a big pming i had with Billy Dean, which started pretty rough but ended in a decent and good debate. But as we act as a team no one can decide on it&#39;s own. No admin and no mod, we think it&#39;s only fair if every "big decission" about members and the board is taken by the whole team. The team (which i&#39;m part of) decided enough was enough. It was not a thin ice decission... But a result of pro&#39;s and cons, as democratic as we can do in this forum.
As you say your comments can be harsh but honest, i really can look into the mirror and know the same goes for myself. There is no single reason for me (and the other mods) to do anything that&#39;s not in the interrest of the entire board. There are rules applying for all and the only thing we try to do is to enforce those if necessary, in a way that&#39;s fair and do justice to all, no exceptions made. If you fail those rules too many times and will not accept that mods just try to do their jobs you have a problem, and only you are responsible mods need to act (that&#39;s not the way we want it, but we will do it if there&#39;s no escaping).
