    It seems like there is a shortage of sapphire 9600xt's where i live, so what should i get? should i get a geforce card? I don't wanna wait like a month for a graphic card what about the msi geforce fx5900xt vtd-128 128mb? is it worth 40 dollars more?

    well it has much better performance according to the graphics card guide by bigdawgfoxx. check it out and decide if u think it would be worth 40 bucks more.

    XT is the scaled down version with the Nvidias I believe, let me run and check.....

    So although it does get outperformed by the regular 5900, it outperforms the 9600XT

    oh yeah shit i didnt realize it said xt, i just saw 5900 then checked the guide.

    yes XT is the low end of the nvidia cards, not sure if its still better than treh 9600xt now...

    edit: i just looked at that site, and it looks to me to be a lot better...6 thousand points.

    Well 5900 is kind of equal too 9800 aint it?

    i guess 5900xt = 9800se but the 9800se sucks but the 5900xt hmmm



    Whats PS2 support?

    I believe the 5900XT kept all 8pipelines, as the 9800SE only kept 4, therefor the 5900XT is a pretty nice graphics card. For &#036;190 you can get a 9700Pro or for &#036;210 you can get a 9800Pro, which will both beat the 5900XT.

    there is no 9700pro in canada
    the 9800pro too damned pricey

    Why dont you update the rest of your system before getting a good graphics card?
