Thread: Mouse Wont Work

    I have jus bought a new logitech usb/ps2 mouse for my windows 2000 machine i plugged it up installed software, and it says device is working, but i have no mouse pointer and it isnt in the mouse task manager under the control panel, can anyone help me, all help is really needed.

    dark, I am just guessing that you have removed your ps2 mouse and
    installed the mouse in the usb port, then you booted up your computer.
    for a windows 2000 machine
    try this: 1) shut down your pc
    2) install your old mouse(ps2)
    3) install your new mouse(usb)
    4) boot the pc
    5) load the driver for the new mouse(install software)
    6) shut down your pc (turn it off)
    7) remove the old mouse
    8) boot the pc


    it is the small things that usually drive us mad

    my operating sys crashed got to put a new one on it, i might put windows xp 8 in 1, what you guys think?

    install winxp Pro with sp1, that will do the trick
