Thread: Windows Xp Pro With Sp1

  1. #1
I just installed it on my new comp i built for my little borther and it keeps asking for me to put in the windows xp sp1 disk, so it can check all the files and make sure they are there. How can i stop it from doing this and make sure all the files are there as well?

    thanx

What is most likely doing this is the System File Checker .

It scans and verifies the all protected system files within your computer to make sure that it not been replaced with an older/corrupt/deleted or virus infected versions.

The best thing in my opinion is to make a windows xp cd-rom with service pack 1 integrated. Then put in that cd-rom when it ask of it. Search on Google on how to do this.

    Maybe this can help.

I dont understand how to get it from bringing this up everytime, it dont do it anymore though, now when i log on to the system it always has to recover a file and it says file recovered and file copied to desitiantion. Why does it always have to rewcover and copy a file?

Either bad RAM or failing hard drive. Probably bad RAM.
