    Use "VideoLan" to preview it, and u wont be able to seek them once download is finished u need a program called "ASFTools" to make them seekable

    about the movie iam sure it wont be the real file cuz thoes kind of movie always come in Avi format

    Looks like a very "professionally" named fake.

    First of all, who encodes in .asf?

    And secondly, I don't think you can use a seperate codec with one of Microsoft's formats.

    check out vcdquality.com and check the release group to see what it was originally encoded as. (xvid divx vcd svcd) people rate the quality and usually has a sample image you can view.

    sometimes people reencode to .asf because its smaller but the quality is usually worse then compared to the orginal
