Thread: Fan Controllers

  1. #1
Hey, what are some good fan controllers?
    I want:
    at least 4 Channels
Classy Look, Preferably silver w/ blue led if possible
to fit in a 5.25" bay
support enough watts for powerful fans s/a the tornado's
    any ideas??
These are the ones I've had in mind
Vantec NXP-201 Nexus (apparantly has a loud buzzing noise though...)
    CoolerMaster Aerogate 1
What one do you have, or have heard good things about?
    thanks

I think I may spend the extra money and get THIS ONE, has awesome reviews everywhere, and looks really nice, good temp display too, with 4 different temp sensors and 4 fan channels

Do not,I repeat, do not buy the Vantec.I had one,the first night one of the fans speed knobs died. By the next morning the other three had also died.I could only get one fan to run off of it but I could not control the speed of that fan,I could the day before but by that morning I couldn't.
    How about this Badboy .
How about a Hardcano 12,they are about 90 bucks from NCIX though, but they look serious.

that one looks nice too, the Zalman one...
doesn't really go with my system though, and it doesn't have the temp display like the other one. BUT it does have 6 channels for fan speeds...
the only thing is it would look like shit in my system, cuz my sistem is all silver and blue LED
I'll take your advice on not getting the Vantec one though! thanks!

i have the Vantec nexus fan & light controller, and it works real nice. i use it with 2 tornado fans, and 1 coolmax fan. the fourth knob controls the 2 CC lights that come with it. Mine fits in the unused 3.5 bay, and has a nice blue look. and there isnt any buzzing on this version
heres a few pics (sorry about the pic size for all the dial up users )

I like that Vantec controller, and it's got some great reviews, I'd buy one but I wish they made them in that same design for a 5 1/2 inch bay.
