Is there a program, or someway to stop, or password protect deletion in Windows Xp?

Reason: My sister, has a kid, and whenever he goes onto the computer, he just messed up her computer, with the deletion of misc. files. Now she has her computer back up, and running, she doesn't want to have to get it fixed again.

    Thank You,

    Zach.

Ya gre1 probably the best because all those recovery programs are free to try then you have to pay to recover, what a scam and they call it shareware. Like these.

For data recovery software, use EnCase.

in XP couldn't you just give the kid his/her own username that he/she uses and the user has restricted access to everything?

Yes you could, but my nephew did it behind my sisters back, while it was in her environment...besides my nephew is 4, he wouldn't know how to log onto his own account .

well there is a really good program out there called Deep Freeze some school districts use it to lock down and regulate what gose in and out of the computers. Works very well only if you want to install some new software make sure you turn the program off first or your screwed.
