As for the children, I think our youngest appear to be around 13ish. They are already pretty worldly wise for being involved in filesharing and so are probably not unaware of what likely material is to be found on the Internet.
My thoughts exactly

I am sure there are children on this forum and they have parents who raise them...
and since these children have access to a computer then the parents being responsible adults have taken steps to insure their morals or taken steps to protect them..or at least they should..we should take reasonable steps to aid in this up to a point....but not past said point where it begins to compromise the concept of free speech and filesharing... I mean if this is stealing then the parents are already condoning that and so are we by not trying to kep minors off here...Parents need to be parents....its a tough full-time job...but they knew that going in..or should...(going in? parents?..slight pun..oh well..)
BTW:I appreciate everyone's veiws and posts and all....I wonder how many would change their votes? too late now of course...

Porn is fine, although I don't know if I want it connected to here.
However, there may be file sharing issues for those downloading porn that is unique to porn files, in which case I think it is ok.

They will continue to make the choices they have been making and we would just have to trust them (or root em out...Mods could have fun here, marching em out of the forum by the virtual ear!
)
Also if it was members only password protected (perhaps by subscription to the forum Mod so modesty could be maintained for those who feel uncomfortable with EVERYONE knowing they watch porn
) this could possibly work.

On the other hand, if you do create a porn site..erm i mean an adult talking site...then at least it isnt part of this board.
However please just give me the URL..dont put a link here
Give me a day or two and i'll have it up and running
It's just that something like this might attract kidnappers (we have children here too), people who collect / trade KP, etc.
I think those kind of people are more likely to be found in chatrooms then on message boards.A board has a better overview on members and their actions then a simple chat.
e.g:rules and advice on what to do and what not can be made more extensive on a board then in a chat, where they just have a bot saying things like no swearing,etc...
But yah,i do get your point though.
A direct link to it might not be such a good idea, eventhough i doubt that the children these days are that easely misguided by person impersonating someone they're not.And those who are probably don't feel the need to visit an adult filesharing talk.Let allone that they would be active posters there.
Maybe a good option is to only post the link to it on this board,so only people that are members here can register there( with the same username they have in here). [/b][/quote]
I like the dual membership thng..that way if someone does cause some type of problem they will loose both memeberships...and it can be tied direcly to active members on here as well which means u wont have as many trolls...or whatever..lurkers?..think thats it...

Why do you call it adult when you really mean porn?
porn.filesharingtalk.com/index.php that would be more precise
