I was jus wondering out of pure curiousity if anyone else had ever tried this before? . Ive jus started using it and found it to be quite good with a nice range of files but the lack of security does worry me.... opinions appreciated ppl !!

If you want to search for files on IRC try PacketNews or MyDownloader.

i found it a bit hard to learn and its more like filetrading then filesharing
also with emule and kaza i never really had the time to get into it.
btw does anyone knows about a good tutorial for using mirc?

I use mIRC all the time. In fact, most of my "verfied" posts come from IRC. The rest come from newsgroups and other places that I've pulled files from. Its a little hard to use, and a little knowledge of DOS will help you to navigate people's Fserves.--

does anyone use excursion instead of mIRC client ?
how good is it?

I've never used excursion, but it's not a seperate client, it's just a bunch of scripts and stuff, kinda like invision (you can't download invision there anymore though, go here to do that), it still needs mirc to work though..
