I used ACP to convert the Avi file to Kvcd. I already checked the avi for any bad frames and there werent any. After I encoded it to mpeg I checked the Mpeg file on the computer to see if the sound was on sync. But after i burned it with Nero to vcd ( I unchecked Standard Compliant ) and played it on the dvd player it was a little bit off. Like about a second or 2 off.

Does anyone know why this is happening?

On my other 2 movies it has also been out of sync a lil bit.

Maybe its the muxing program Acp uses or is it just the burning program I am using??

    Help is appreciated GREATLY

sounds like your dvd player doesn't like kvcd's
try playing it in a different dvd player

Just use bbmpeg to remux it but first tell me what u are making kvcd (mpeg 1) skvcd (mpeg 2) I don't use that half-ass acp program I do it all manually so i say it's probably your buffer is to high for your dvd player and has to be turned down when u tell me what u are making I will tell u the settings for bbmpeg.

It won't play on dvd player if u check standard vcd because it is not standard it won't let u burn unless u encode again of turn it off.

ah , its ac3 audio , you need to stript the ac3 audio out ( demux )and remux it after you convert the vid to mpeg

    i use virtualdubmod to demux

there is a tutorial about hang on i will find it, this one ends up as dvd but the demux bit is still the same

here is another that is for vcd

there arnt many programs that can handle converting xvid and ac3 at once
but these work everytime for me

but if he has no trouble playing the kvcd on his computer, doesn't that rule out that their is any problem with the file being in sync
seems the easiest way to isolate the problem would be to try it in a different dvd player

true enough , but i would rather make a vcd complaint compilation that could play on any dvd player, especialy if you are gunna share it with freinds
