one of my sisters friends got stabbed and died all because the guy who stabbed him was drunk.

Thats another thing to think about. For those guys to rob you in the first place, you can already tell they're not very nice people...

i&#39;ve already considered that as a possibility, but knowing crimes in the greater vancouver area, the worst, and i mean the worst that could happen when these petty thieves get better is they could jump me. but i have friends, powerful friends, friends in gangs and friends wit weapons. payback=payback? no, that would just make it worst. so if they decide to take a go at me, i&#39;ll fight back but i won&#39;t do it severly, just enough to scare em of, but hey, nothing will ever be the same again.

A couple pointers cuz I live in an apartment too (a shanty one you can say)

1. Be Discreet, Keep your good shit as hidden as possible from the windows/doors etc.
2. Only let people you absolutely trust into your house, this is hard better yet only let family members into your house
3. Don&#39;t make friends with neighbors, I lived in this apartment for 6 years and I know no one and that is good. Hell don&#39;t even talk to your neighbors
4. Close the damn blinds always&#33; This helps alot, like number 1 you don&#39;t want ANYONE to see all your good shit
5. Make sure the door is locked always (duh)
6. When exiting/entering your apartment don&#39;t open the door wide open keep your door as closed as possible espcially when people walk by
