PSU by the sound of it. Certainly it must be hardware and since your temps are OK your CPU & chipset should be OK.
If it was anything in Windows, you'd get a BSOD or warning.

just got a new psu maybe 2 weeks ago, seems to be running fine by the looks of it
it's 450watts for the specs in my sig, should easily be enough
and it doesnt even only restart when using alot of power, sometimes it's just idling or while checking email or anything

Thats very strange, No matter what the error is you normally get a BSoD from what it sounds like it's actually just cutting straight out due to the lack of power.

Did it restart before you changed your PSU, And have you checked the leads for any breaks in the wire at all?
I wasn't going to buy it in the first place, so me downloading it for free isn't losing them any money.

You've proberly already had this suggestion already but have you tried running it without any additional hardware like usb or pci cards?

check in bios to see what your votages are at, see how far off they are.

can you try your old power supply just to see if the new one is causing the problem?

okay, i just thought of something, i may finally have to up my vcore a bit, i've oc'ed as far as 2.28Ghz from the stock 1.83 with default vcore, that could be the problem...

sure try upping it a bit, but monitor those temps carefully cause they might go way up with just a little bit more voltage.

If you overclock then the first thing to do when problems occur is to set it back to default speeds. Try it at stock speeds and see if the same restarting problem is still there.
