Manker's web totty
I don't know if this is here as well, but in Belgium it isn't just the Easter bunny who brings the eggs. It is said that the church bells come from Rome and spread eggs all over the country.

Is this the bit where I come in and annoy everyone by talking about Easter really being the ancient Pagan spring festival which has been bastardised by the Christian religion?
Oh, that would piss people off, wouldn't it.
I'll get me coat.
Not even remotely annoying mate. I think most people are aware that the dates for Easter and Christmas are arbitrary. Indeed the date for Easter Sunday changes every year, because we chose to have it on a Sunday, as opposed to Christmas which we really don't bother about the day, just the date.
If the early Christians decided to pick days which co-coincided with other festivals then what difference. It is what they commemorate that is important, not the historical accuracy of the dates.
Easter is not a bastardization of another festival, it is a commemoration of the passion, death and resurrection of Christ.

@Jpol.......I'm afraid I don't have any faith in something there's no proof of existence, each to their own but like I said, they would kick up a major stink if I played hard rock in front of their house, yet that's what I believe in because my guitar is my minds release

Fair do's mate, live and let live.
Just for clarification, if there is absolute proof then you don't need Faith. If you have Faith then you do not need absolute proof.
If you think about it you will probably come up with things you believe in, but don't actually know to be true.
I'm with you on the playing guitar outside of their windows. Bit of Gary Moore if you decide to to it. Oh and tape it for us to hear.
