Ok, how can I create shortcuts (either in desktop or in the redhat menu) for programs that I have to run through a terminal?

I know you can right-click icons (or executables), and click make link, then move it to the desktop. However, it asks me if I want to run it in a terminal....etc.etc.etc., such as Firefox.

So if there's any way to avoid this, please let me know.

    Thanks

With all due respect DWK, there is a big difference between a n00b and a complete idiot.

Don't you think I've looked into it already?

I think I've gained enough respect to not be considered either of both in certain matters, specially not an idiot.

I ask here because I can't find it. AFAIK, this section was put up for people to post questions as the such, for experienced people like yourself to help with.

Most I've done in this forum and other forums I've been at, is help people. I don't call people noobs. Ignorance is one thing, stupidity is another.

So please, refrain from such comments

Do I need to spell it out? And where the hell were you when Linux Section was first put here?

You talked all that crap about how having a Linux Section would be a good idea and when it finally came here you were nowhere to be found. Oh, you were on the forum.............just not anywhere near Linux Section.

Had you been here initially like you were supposed to, you might have learned something.

If you want answers then google it bud! Respect is earned and you took the day off................. with NO PAY!

    Good Day Sir.
