Thread: How To Change Saved Pics Settings

1. #1
Hi,
I hope someone can help?

How (or where) do you change the settings in Windows to tell your computer in which format to save a picture in? From IE6.
When I used to save a Picture it would always save in .JPG format but now it only saves in .BMP format which is annoying!!

Thanks

In the save box can you select the save as type. Change it from *.bmp to *.jpg

it depends on the picture, if the picture is a BMP, you'll save it as a BMP

if the picture is a JPG, youll have the option of saving as JPG OR BMP

No It makes no odds what type the picture is!
If its a .JPG it still only lets me save as .BMP!!

Thanks 4play, whats the best way to do that?
