As some of you might know, WeeMouse, Helen-Marie (a friend of ours) and myself climbed Ben Lomond earlier this week. We travelled to Balmaha then walked to the Rowardennan Youth Hostel from there on Monday, we climbed Ben Lomond on Tuesday and made our way back to Balmaha on Wednesday, eventually getting back to Glasgow just in time for me to go into work and close up the shop (I slept well that night).
WeeMouse had her digital camera with her, so here's a selection of the shots she took:
A Highland Calf we met along the way, who WeeMouse promptly named "Jeff"
Looking south-west from the shores of Loch Lomond
The snowy peak of Ben Lomond from the shoulders of the mountain
Lamsey has a Boromir moment when Helen-Marie drops her replica One Ring
The view looking north-west from the peak of Ben Lomond
The view east from the peak
Looking west from the peak
Looking south-west from the peak, down towards the loch
The view south from the shoulder of the mountain
The peak from camp after we had descended; looks like the snow thawed as we climbed down
Scotland's a lovely place
