I liked the old system where it was removed and you got a little message from the mod in question, that way if there were any enquiries to be made then you could PM them...

Yeah, whoever removes sigs should PM them with a reason

Signatures and avatars that do not comply may be removed or edited by a moderator or administator without notification

so problem solved I guess..

Well it is nice to know who has done it, so that if need be you can query the decision. I saw nothing wrong with yours and see no reason for it to be removed.

That is such a cop-out, this just allows lazy mods not to bother and hide behind rules.
