According to my 16 year old son "cool" is not cool. However, I think he is being deliberately mis-leading. His friends are bit Lord of the Rings gothic types so I am not sure they are especially typical.

My daughter is nearly 14 and is into art in a big way. Apparently, Japanese stuff is really in. Neon Genesis is the business it would seem, if that means anything to anyone. Any yoofs out there agree?

Music is anyone's guess. However, from what I have seen you could get by with "Muse" and "System of A Down". The right mixture of up to date but credible that a teacher might like and know.

But hey, I am 47 - what do I know? Skweeks you are still just a babe in arms.

My musical taste makes me a Yikket (I have no idea ) according to my kids.

Spelling "cool" with a "k" is not cool. It's retarded
On a given day or given circumstance, you think you have a limit.
And you then go for this limit and you touch this limit and you think "Ok, this is the limit".
As soon as you touch this limit, something happens and you suddenly can go a little bit further.

Good Luck

You are probably right, although I have been rather thunder struck by the amount of Japanese stuff on my computer. It would appear to be very popular. I can't get to grips with it myself.

I do like Foamy the Squirrel; which I must say did make me laugh and her Lenore comics are also funny (if somewhat disturbing).

There is a page with free cartoons to download. Not exactly Micky Mouse but has funny moments - my kids find it amusing. The Nuts (I think) episode is a bit violent.
