im afraid im a newbie but here goes
ive heard the best way to improve your download speed is to keep emule running as long as possible so i do but when i leave it running overnight or my computer is inactive for long periods i get no downloading at all or i get disconnected any ideas would be greatly appreciated

switch to Overnet man. It is serverless and way better than Emule. Mule = slow and large queues. Download Overnet 0.53 with and uncheck the additional softwear boxes. read here Overnet 0.53
Make your files the smallest possible to share. If you don't you how I recomend DR. DivX. It will do it for you. We don't want to have to dl that 2.5 gig sh*t for a movie or 2 SVCD's. SMALLEST FORMAT ALWAYS!!!!!!
