Could someone tell me the secret in how people manage to encode a full 120min video to excellent quality at just 700MB!!. I ripped one of my music videos to try, It was 4 mins long,I used the smallest frame siaze possible and medium qualiuy sound. I ended up with 48MB file for 4 mins using DIVx codecs. But if I were to do a movie it would be something like 1.2GB!!. So how do they do it at 700MB!!.

lower the video bit rate and pick somthing like mp3 128 kb @44hz for the sound.
have a look at the forum for doom9 they are always exchanging info on the best way to encode stuff.
