    bandwith is good..

n : a data transmission rate; the maximum amount of information (bits/second) that can be transmitted along a channel
so you want a lot of it

I would die if i had to go back to 56k. Broadband is like a drug once you use it for a while you will never want to be without it. If you have the money it is well spent. Think about the savings with movies, software and games

Now this is the stupidest of stupid questions I've ever seen.

High speed = faster downloads = more goodies
Low speed = slower downloads = less goodies

High speed = always connectected = online always = open app (IE, Kazaa, etc) connected.
Low speed = dial up every time = telephone tied up = possible disconects if your lucky enough to get a connection. some dial up ISP's can't handle all of their customers online at the same time.

have you ever known slow to be better than fast? (except maybe old people driving)

    not flaming you, but please!!!

Depends on internet connection and other stuff. More Bandwidth for downloads is good.
