Thread: Question About Internet

  1. #1
I wasn't sure where to post this question, but it is a problem, so i thought i'd post it here.
When i click on a url, lets say some link inside one of these message boards that leads to a codec pack(for example), i cannot connect to that site........yet if i type it straight into my internet explorer bar it connects to the site no problem.
This problem is starting to get on my nerves, so i was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to fix it!!

    Thanks , StEpS

    You mean like something:

    http://www.google.com , you can't connect?

maybe because your browser won't allow the "http://" part of it... just taking a wild guess here because my school's computers don't let you go to a site if you add "http://"

I mean like if you type in "http://" then it doesn't work.

like http://www.google.com wouldn't work if you put that into the browser over at school but www.google.com would work. I don't know why... school's wierd

I think you don't need to add http:// then, it probably would double out http://http:// like that?

I don't know if this will help solve the problem but, after i leave the link to load for a while then press STOP and then REFRESH, the page comes up.....sometimes completely, sometimes half the page. Weird stuff, but if i leave it to load itself, i waited 1/2 an hour just to see , and it just hangs there and never opens the page.
Thank you guys for your help!!!!
