Did you install a new program lately?
Do you remember when this first started? You must have done something?!

It will burn iso but not by just clicking the iso file. I just recently started checking out NTI Cdmaker (platinum version, I think) and it does do so by just clicking the iso........it's available on kazaalite or just check out the demo version if you want to experiment with it........
NERO is favored by many
EDIT
Xp requires patches from Roxio in order to run Easy CD Creator 5

You might need to run a rutine Windows XP Checkup:
1.Run Scandisk
2.Get Norton Sysworks 2003 and run 1 button check, or get Norton Ult and run WinDoctor
3.Run CleanDisk
4.Run Defrag
that should help
I ran Norton WinDoctor on some unsavvy friend's computer and it made the thing go 2x faster.
