u have no idea how big the difference is a 24mb can make

let&#39;s start with a controversial topic...say a hard disk
a hard disk manufacturer says maximum capacity of this particular hard disk is 40GB

but in reality, it&#39;s just 40 billion bytes... (they just never told us about that or in the case of certain comp dealers, the prints are real small)
and 40000000000/(1024^3)=37.75 Gigabytes

that&#39;s 2.25 gigabytes gone...

and for 80gb, using the same formula...u lose 5.5gb
imagine how much u lose if u have 120gb hard disk

btw, this applies to all consumer hard disks out there
conclusion...

1 billion bytes not equal to 1 gigabyte
