Thread: Bannedipranges.txt - Does It Change?

1. #1
Looking inside the file itself BannedIpRanges.txt, there is no version to it or anything and "i think' it has stayed the same for quite a while now even though it keeps downloading the same one over/over.

I'm using KLR 007
BannedIpRanges.txt is 508KB
BadIPUpdater.exe shows to be version 1.03 and todays filezise is 29KB ?
..the box is checked to download from xxxx//homepage.ntlworld.com/tim.leonard1/guarding.p2p

I ask becasue I went for months without getting an update and it just kept downloading a litttle 3KB BannedIpRanges.txt file for the longest time, and then I recently noticed the file size of the BadIPUpdater.exe was changed from 89KB down to 29KB even though it says the same version number?

...what's it all suppose to be?

thanks

Hi Danny,

Okay now the one you gave http://bluetack.co.uk/config/antip2p.txt is only 370KB but the one that's listen in my Bad Ip Range Updaters box shows http://homepage.ntlworld.com/tim.leonard1/guarding.p2p ..and is much bigger as mentioned at 508KB ...so does more entires mean better in this case?

Also what's the file size of your BadIPUpdater.exe

thanks

It's more than a matter of choice, it's a matter of which one has the most and accurate entries I would imagine, right?

Also that version 1.3 ip updater says version 1.3 but I have noticed there are more than one build of it around not defined and they have different file sizes too, and looking hex shows them different of course as well. I was just curious as which or where is the latest one.

REALITY & tensegg,

looking at it i see it installs things i already have and don't need duplicates of some apps and so don't need to install another programs just to get an updated list.

Is there a way to get just the list witout having to install the whole program?

Is the BlocklistManager list more updated than the 2 links I've used already to get the latest list?

thanks,
