    um , perhaps give us your full comp specs

    the other thing it might be is faulty ram , twice i have serviced comps with xp that where buggy cause of faulty ram

    what does the blue screen say? is there a dll mentioned. That is usually a clue as to what is going wrong. Try searching google with that information and see what hardware it relates to.

    Have you gone to Windows Update and installed SP1 and all the other patches? I know I had problems with my initial install of XP, until I did that. Now it works just fine (much better than 98).

    the last time I saw a BSOD in windows xp was years ago when it was first released, and I installed it on my old computer which, at the time, had only 64mb ram. I upgraded it to 128, then to 256mb not long after, and havent had any bsod's on that computer or my own since...

    as everyone else has said, its either a driver, ram or psu problem.

    this is weird. i've had my current installation 4 bout 6 months now, and b4 i upgraded everything, i had xp installed for bout 8 months with no probs at all. never had a blue screen ever
