Hitchhikers Guide File Names

I am a fan of the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and am trying to download all 12 episodes of the Radio series.

Unfortunately every user seems to name their files differently therefore making it hard to get multilple users to download from. (I'm on 56K)

But why do so many files say 2 of 36 ? or 4 of 36 ? these are smaller files but where does the 36 come from ?

It might be the audio tapes of the actual book instead of the radio show. Either that or each file is a third of one radio show (at a guess)
