ShortAttentionSam, great, but if you down load a lot of single MP3's you will get some with much higher volume levels than others, which makes it a pain to listen to a playlist of them.
Tensegg, if what you say is true then that is good.
I have had a quick lookat my Foobar again and I think it does have a built in gain system. Will need to study it some more.
Anyone else got any comments on this subject ?

What color is your Adkaf ?
MusicMatch has built in "Volume Leveling" features.
Which levels your volume upon ripping tracks into your library, and will re-level tracks upon burning them. Read about it here!
Microsoft Plus! Digital Media Edition, it will level your tracks as well. I've found out that your media will be changed over to ".wma" format instead of "mp3". Which is a better media format anyway.
just my 2cents:
I have used in the past "Zyraxs Evil Volume Normalizer." It works with Winamp and Quintessential Player (as well as any other player that uses Winamp plugins.)
You can find it at: Zyraxs Evil Volume Normalizer
If anyone can find a better one, please let me know. Especially if it is some type of standalone program that doesn't require a Winamp, VST or DX compliant player!
