Thread: Missing Ram?

    Im wondering since were on the topic of RAM,
    I want to buy RAM soon and I dont remeber what kind I have in there..Is there a way to check what kind it is without looking at the chip and knowing what kind it is??

    This bios should tell you the type of ram too. Check the manual or the manufacturer's website.

    if you want a full inventory of hardware and software in a computer use the belarc advisor
    a very cool free software tool.

    i agree. u probably use 16 meg for ur onboard video, as for ram, get sisoft sandra, that prog may well tell u what memory u are usinga nd what th mb can take, even if it doesn't it will give you your mb details and u can contact the manufacturor

    I just got it and its telling me that the info for RAM is in BIOs and I don't know the crap in BIOs worth crap or anything about RAM

    So I went into BIOs and all I could figure out was in Advanced Chipset area theres the AGP Slot stuff for my Vid card and then theres another thing there about SD Cache and stuff..Does that mean I have SDram? I really don't know.

    i think memory is reserved by the AGP slot, i read it somewhere, i think something like that.

    basically its normal, if you're not sure try finding a technical website, they might know more

    It doesn't matter how much memory is dedicated to other components.. Total installed RAM should be shown.
