as the topic states... i need to install windows 98 on a new computer. it was shipped w/out an operating system and i am quite unfamiliar with how this is done.
can someone give me step by step instructions PLEASE.

Put the Windows installation CD and boot from CD-ROM. I just assumed you know how to do this, cause i dont know if u do or u dont

you can do that from the bios correct? have it run from the cdrom? i was reading one site said you had to format the harddrive first? is this true?

That's true, You do that with fdisk.

i'm sure sounding like a total idiot is well past. but what's fdisk?
sorry but i was elected to do this for my small office... i'm not a computer tech if you can't tell )
